Muir collection. 1877-1972.

This Collection was donated by Mr Harry Muir of the Beck Book Company and contains material relating to the book trade including minutes of meetings and reports of the annual conferences of the Australian Booksellers Association, other State associations and the Publishers Association of Australia as well as miscellaneous material relating to Australian and British publishers and publishing. It contains a miscellaneous collection of letters - a few from prominent South Australians. There are some art catalogues, the bulletin "Red Pages" (1941-46); various periodicals (some first issues) and some South Australian newspapers of historic interest. Also contains newspaper cuttings of miscellaneous interest including Australiana, bookselling, censorship and literary figures. Also contains theatre programs and bookplates.
